yougotta be taking a tremendous amount of heat with the Google books search and with that sort of thing most of what I see is pretty exciting can you give me a two years out three years out vision of what Google Editions is gonna be ?
yeah yeah no thank you for asking that And I've been surprised by that I mean we get criticized kind of for anything but I've been surprised at the level of controversy there because digitizing the world's books and making them available there's really there's nobody else who's attempted it at our scale or who is really working on it so and I feel like we had a number of technical challenges which we've overcome there was this legal dispute which we have settlements proposed at least that we also agreed to with the authors and publishers and so forth But anyway it remains somewhat controversial ultimately these books have great content in them great information you know even if they're fifty years old or so It's incredible to me when I search through them and peruse them how relevant they are today but we need a way to be able to allow people to access them and to pay the people who to pay the authors and publishers for that matter for those books S yeah I'm surprised at the amount of resistance that it's had but ultimately I'm optimistic that we're gonna be successful and I'm optimistic that the we're going to be able to provide people access to tens of millions of books that otherwise would be lost
