thiswas the start of an apocalypse that would sweep the entire world that was five years ago My name is Alice this has to be the most exciting Resident Evil I mean this film has really gone to a whole other level It’s in 3-D which is making this movie just come to life in a way the none of the other films can even pretend to because it’s just sucking the audience in Background action One of the exciting things about shooting a 3-D film for me was it kind of felt like I shooting my first movie again because it’s so different Cut perfect It won’t get any better than that Working with the crew on this movie has been amazing these guys are figuring it out as they go along and it’s so exciting to watch something you know new being created You know it’s so perfect for a film like this because it’s so much about the action and the flying and the stunts Resident Evil is a something that is really appropriate for 3-D you know their filled with kind of action scenes where you have tentacles coming out for you you know it’s very kind of 3-D friendly Luther We used Pace system that was built for Avatar we actually shot a 3-D movie Beforehand in two dimensional movies your eye was always on the screen there was no other place for it to be now of course you know as a film maker you can throw uh the audiences focus 50 feet behind the screen or thirty feet in front of the screen Everything is quiet here One of the things that we wanted to do was not make it such a gimmick We wanted to let 3-D express itself so we were very careful not to overdo all of that sort of guns in your eyes and other things firing at you but when it does happen it’s amazing because you jump back an kind of feel that this thing is really coming at you you want the maximum viewer experience you know so quite often with these big event movies big action movies you’re getting a big bang for your buck right so those are the kind of movies you actually want to watch in 3-D but I think as people become used to it you know they’re going to want everything in 3-D It is just the most action packed most crazy just full on experience that you can imagine from a Resident Evil movie I mean I think it’s gonna be sick
