I justwanthealthy safe products available to every child I think that every child deserves the best you launched The Honest company which is uh it provides eco-friendly natural baby products tell me about your inspiration when I when I was pregnant I realized in doing research and and reading a book called Healthy Child Healthy world that there is actually uhm lots of of toxic chemicals in uhm everyday products and uh including baby products and so I was like wouldn’t it be great to have a company that uh is truly non-toxic and safe uhm but also is cute and affordable and easy to get your public persona is a movie star bright lights But you’re really building this business as a mom Is it important to you that consumers relate to you as a mom with young kids who’s going through the same things as they are well I am you know we have uh direct uh access to our customer because I I’m into social media and I want to hear feedback from parents how they like our products and and what they would like to change uhm and how they would like to innovate uhm on on these products to have like a brand that’s for parents that you know is made by parents and we’re listening to parents on how to uh to change and grow and involve I know part of your intention was to make this line affordable and a lot of families really are struggling to make ends meet now do you think eighty dollars a month for diapers is realistic for them absolutely yeah less than twenty dollars a week for your diapers and wipes less than nine dollars a week for your household and body care needs absolutely Well you’re already a working parent we saw you at the golden Globes recently you looked beautiful Oh thank you How will you find time for a start up uhm I I’ve been working on this uh for three years now so uhm now that it’s actually happening like this is this is awesome this is this isn’t this hasn’t been the hard part this is the easy part because we actually have the products and we’re proud of them and all of my friends who have tried them they loved them My daughter she loves them and she’s obsessed with them Does your celebrity give you an edge You know I’ve done all the talk shows for years and years and years and uh I’m usually going on and talking about a movie or whatever a TV show and different things in entertainment but this is actually it doesn’t feel like work in a weird way That’s interesting Uh this is my passion and this is what I uhm this is my third baby uhm I really do care deeply about this
